Registered General Nurse – Nursing Home

About the role

Elm Green Nursing Home, part of the Trinity Care Group, is seeking a compassionate Registered General Nurse to join its team in Castleknock. You will provide high‑quality care to elderly residents in a purpose‑built facility, supporting their health, wellbeing and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and health supervision to residents, following individual care plans.
• Assess new admissions, update ongoing assessments, and review care plans monthly or as needed.
• Administer prescribed medication and maintain accurate medication records.
• Report any resident illness, arrange GP or specialist visits, and ensure timely handovers between shifts.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, communicate with residents, families and the care team.
• Support health and safety procedures, reporting incidents and maintaining a safe environment.

Required profile

• Current registration with An Bord Altranais.
• Effective communication skills at all levels.
• Genuine interest in caring for elderly residents.
• Team‑player attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
• First‑level nursing qualification.
• Desirable: experience in elderly care, knowledge of HIQA standards, prior supervisory experience.
