Registered Nurse – Critical Care Transport (Night Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Critical Care Transport team at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. This full‑time night‑shift position provides life‑saving care while patients are moved between facilities by ambulance, helicopter, or fixed‑wing aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver basic and advanced life support, and critical care interventions during transport.
• Perform patient assessments, administer treatments, and continuously monitor vital signs.
• Communicate patient status clearly to physicians and other medical professionals in confined transport environments.
• Execute emergency procedures such as CPR, endotracheal intubation, needle thoracostomy, and umbilical cord assessment for emergency medication administration.
• Maintain composure, focus, and critical‑thinking skills to resolve complex clinical situations.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of nursing experience.
• 1‑2 years each in NICU, PICU, pediatric nursing, and neonatology.
• Current RN license and a valid driver’s license.
• Successful completion of a Level II background check (state and federal).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Valid driver’s license.
