Registered Nurse, Pediatric Intensive Care – Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full‑time night‑shift position in a Gold‑certified, Magnet‑designated unit that provides critical care to children.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients throughout the nursing process.
• Supervise and coordinate care provided by support staff and ancillary services.
• Develop individualized care plans in partnership with patients and families.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Advocate for patients and provide care for critically ill children requiring high acuity interventions.
• Participate in unit staff meetings, quality improvement activities, and hospital mission initiatives.

Required profile

• Current RN license in the state of Florida.
• 1–2 years of cardiac or telemetry experience preferred.
• Hospital experience, preferably in emergency or intensive care settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Preferred certifications: Conscious sedation, Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
