Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to join a leading global manufacturer’s site in Mayo. The role focuses on enhancing equipment reliability, driving maintenance excellence, and delivering measurable operational improvements within a highly automated and regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliability strategies to boost asset performance.
• Lead Reliability‑Centred Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and preventive‑maintenance optimisation initiatives.
• Expand predictive‑maintenance programmes to anticipate and prevent equipment failures.
• Analyse equipment performance data to identify key reliability issues and “bad actors”.
• Drive improvement projects that reduce downtime and increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Quantify and report the financial impact of reliability initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and operations teams to support site objectives.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree qualification in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a regulated and/or highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven track record of improving equipment performance and reliability.
• Relevant certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, CMRP or CRL are advantageous.
