Remote Part-Time Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a remote, part-time Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader. The analyst will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help strengthen the organization’s defenses while working from any location.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS solutions.
• Investigate security incidents to determine scope, impact, and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys).
• Understanding of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
