Retail Sales Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and energetic Retail Sales Assistant to join our Ashbourne store. As the first point of contact for customers, you will help create a welcoming shopping environment and support daily store operations. This role is ideal for anyone starting a retail career or seeking a fresh opportunity in a vibrant, locally‑owned business.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide professional, helpful service.
• Maintain store presentation through merchandising, stock replenishment and visual displays.
• Operate tills, process transactions and follow daily till procedures.
• Assist with deliveries, stockroom organization and inventory management.
• Ensure the shop floor remains clean, safe and inviting.
• Support teammates across all areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with genuine enthusiasm for retail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Reliability, punctuality and a solid work ethic.
• Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure.
• Eagerness to learn, grow and contribute to a supportive team.

Required skills

• POS/till operation.
