Retail Team Lead – Store Management

About the role

Woodie's, Ireland’s leading DIY, Home & Garden retailer, is seeking a dynamic Team Lead to drive performance and mentor store colleagues across our network of 35 stores. You will be the frontline leader responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences while supporting commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver extraordinary customer service and actively mentor store teams.
• Communicate business goals and objectives clearly to all colleagues.
• Identify and act on commercial opportunities within the local area.
• Oversee cash and stock control, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support payroll and headcount budgeting to optimise staffing.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding and training of new store staff.
• Authorise refunds and exchanges, handling performance discussions and appraisals.
• Maintain health and safety standards and create a safe shopping environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail, sales or operations with a desire to step up into leadership.
• Exposure to people‑management activities in a customer‑facing environment.
• Strong communicator who can articulate messages clearly and listen actively.
