Sales Assistant – Retail (Pet Store)

About the role

Join Maxi Zoo, Ireland’s largest pet retailer, as a Sales Assistant in our Navan store. You will be the front‑line ambassador for pet owners, helping them find the right products and ensuring a welcoming shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable, friendly service to customers, offering product advice and answering queries.
• Maintain well‑stocked, tidy shelves and ensure product availability.
• Promote the brand’s values by keeping pet welfare at the forefront of every interaction.
• Achieve sales targets while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Engage in ongoing personal and professional development with the store manager.

Required profile

• Flexibility to work a 5‑day roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong communication skills and a personable, customer‑focused attitude.
• Enthusiasm for animals and a genuine passion for pet care.
• Previous experience in a similar retail environment is desirable but not mandatory.
