Sample Technician – Laboratory Support

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Sample Technician to support the operation of its GFC and Chromatography laboratory. The role involves using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to ensure accurate and timely sample registration, preparation, and shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and ship samples to internal and external laboratories, completing any required customs paperwork.
• Maintain stability sample storage under correct conditions.
• Prioritise customer samples based on urgency and client requirements.
• Receive, sort, and register customer samples in the LIMS system, ensuring completeness and timeliness.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with partner labs to ensure seamless workflow.
• Collaborate with internal departments to identify and implement service improvements.
• Perform general administrative duties such as photocopying, data entry, and document handling.
• Manage sample‑related queries and resolve missing or incomplete information with stakeholders.
• Respond to customer enquiries, providing accurate information to maintain high service standards.

Required profile

• Experience with laboratory sample handling and preparation.
• Familiarity with LIMS for sample registration and tracking.
• Ability to work closely with internal teams and external partner laboratories.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
