About the role
The Scanning Operator ensures that the store’s scanning systems run smoothly and provide accurate information to management. This part‑time position supports daily retail operations at the Erne Hill, Belturbet store.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor scanning equipment to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
- Print daily reports, verify product information and pricing, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Manage pricing and set‑up in‑store promotions.
- Back up scanning systems each day and ensure correct cost prices for local suppliers.
- Attend training sessions and apply new knowledge on the shop floor.
Required profile
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize customer needs.
- Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
- Previous customer‑service experience is an advantage.
