Scientific Data Analyst (2 positions)

About the role

The Scientific Data Analyst will support digital data capabilities within J&J Innovative Medicine R&D Cell & Gene Therapy. Working closely with scientists and digital teams, you will design and implement data models, DOE templates, and reporting solutions to improve data quality and accessibility.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and support digital scientific data solutions, including templates, recipes, and process development workflows.
• Translate laboratory and manufacturing processes into structured digital solutions and capture approaches.
• Analyse scientific datasets to identify quality issues, metadata gaps and reporting opportunities.
• Support testing, verification and troubleshooting of digital systems and data integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a scientific, digital, data or process‑development role.
• Proven ability to work with scientific stakeholders and gather requirements.

Required skills

• SQL for data investigation and analysis.
• Experience with scientific platforms such as ELN, LIMS, Biovia, MES or similar.
• Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and process modelling frameworks.
• Familiarity with FAIR data principles, master data management, controlled vocabularies and ontology.
