Semi Senior Financial Services Tax

About the role

We are seeking a Semi‑Senior professional to join Grant Thornton’s Financial Services Tax team in Ireland. The role offers the chance to deepen technical tax expertise while working with a diverse portfolio of financial services clients, supporting both compliance and advisory engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns, computations and supporting documentation for financial services clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Assist in the delivery of tax compliance and advisory projects, developing a strong understanding of Irish tax legislation.
• Conduct tax research, respond to technical queries and identify potential tax planning opportunities.
• Maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams by addressing day‑to‑day queries and delivering high‑quality service.
• Participate in technical training and professional development activities to enhance tax knowledge.

Required profile

• AITI/CTA qualified or actively pursuing a professional tax qualification.
• Experience in a tax practice environment with exposure to tax compliance; experience in financial services is a plus.
• Good understanding of Irish tax legislation and a strong interest in developing technical tax expertise.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proactive attitude, strong attention to detail and willingness to learn within a collaborative team.
