Senior Accountant – Galway (4‑day week)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join a well‑established accountancy practice in Galway. The role offers a collaborative environment, a strong local client base and the chance to manage your own portfolio across a variety of SME and owner‑managed businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate and personal clients.
• Prepare and review year‑end accounts and financial statements.
• Compile and submit corporate and personal tax returns.
• Provide day‑to‑day advisory and support to clients.
• Review work prepared by junior team members and contribute to their development.
• Assist with more complex tax or advisory projects and business development activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance client service.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Experience in a general practice/accountancy firm.
• Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards and taxation.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships independently.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
