Senior Accountant – Galway

About the role

HireIQ is partnering with a well‑established professional services firm in Galway to recruit a Senior Qualified Accountant. This role offers an experienced practice accountant the chance to manage a diverse client portfolio while delivering accounting, taxation and business advisory services, and to mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of corporate and individual clients across multiple sectors.
• Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns.
• Provide accounting, tax compliance and business advisory services.
• Mentor and develop junior accountants.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and meet multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Resident in Ireland.
