Senior Accountant – Investments

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant – Investments to join a leading global financial services firm in Dublin. The role will focus on investment accounting, financial reporting and technical accounting within an international environment, working closely with senior finance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly investment portfolio reporting for management, Board, GAAP, statutory and external audiences.
• Prepare and review investment‑related journal entries, reconciliations and valuation analyses.
• Handle accounting activities for Private Credit and Private Equity investments.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, including compliance with SOX 404.
• Assist with audit processes and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical accounting support on complex investment and derivative transactions under US GAAP.
• Contribute to finance projects, process improvements and broader reporting initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CPA, CA, ACA or equivalent) with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• Minimum two years of Big Four audit experience, preferably with exposure to investments or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 320, ASC 815, ASC 820 and ASC 825.
• Experience with SOX 404 and public company reporting is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
