Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a progressive accountancy practice based in County Mayo. Reporting directly to the Partners, you will work with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from medium‑size enterprises to sole traders and high‑net‑worth individuals. This position offers strong upward career prospects within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts and progress them to partner review stage
• Conduct small‑company audits
• Compile and file personal and corporate tax returns
• Produce monthly management accounts for clients
• Deliver consultancy and project assignments across SME, professional and high‑net‑worth sectors

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) with several years of practice experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
• Commitment to building a long‑term career in an accountancy practice
