Senior Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join a top‑20 audit, tax and advisory firm in Central Dublin. The role involves leading audit engagements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering insightful findings to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Review audit files to ensure they meet best practice standards.
• Identify significant client issues and recommend appropriate actions.
• Maintain client contact throughout engagements, including attending meetings.
• Develop audit plans, manage audit teams and supervise junior staff.
• Monitor chargeable targets, raise bills for approval and track portfolio performance.
• Provide value‑added insights and build strong commercial relationships with clients.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA) with at least 3 years of audit experience in a small‑to‑medium practice.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management and ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience with consolidation and group accounts is a distinct advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit and accounting software applications.
• Strong IT skillset, including experience in consolidation of group accounts.
• Good knowledge of tax effects on financial statements.
