Senior Backend Engineer (Product Team)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our product team and help scale a global SaaS platform that provides app performance, user feedback, and marketplace analytics. The role is fully remote and focuses on building high‑impact backend services that process large volumes of app‑store data and deliver actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise backend services for app ratings, reviews and performance analytics.
• Design automation systems for tagging, responding to, and reporting on customer reviews.
• Build and enhance data‑processing pipelines that generate insights from large‑scale feedback and app‑store data.
• Contribute to AI‑driven features such as semantic analysis, text summarisation and intelligent automation.
• Support and improve internal and public APIs linked to core platform data entities.
• Collaborate with peers to ensure consistent, scalable and secure architecture across services.
• Modernise legacy services while maintaining stability and performance.
• Work with platform and DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments and reliable operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with asynchronous Python (asyncio) and FastAPI.
• Strong proficiency with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and solid SQL skills.
• Experience with ORM frameworks, preferably SQLAlchemy.
• Hands‑on experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Proven ability to write unit tests using Pytest.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency and strong problem‑solving skills.
