Senior Clinical Pharmacist

About the role

This senior position supports Ireland's National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) within a Health Technology Assessment Directorate. The role combines evidence‑based policy work, guideline development and stakeholder engagement to keep national immunisation guidelines up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and co‑author updates to the Irish Immunisation Guidelines.
• Conduct systematic literature searches, critical appraisal and synthesis of vaccine‑related evidence.
• Provide evidence‑based responses to immunisation queries from healthcare professionals.
• Engage with senior healthcare stakeholders, academic partners and government bodies, representing NIAC in national and international forums.
• Draft reports, guidance documents and peer‑reviewed publications, translating complex scientific data into clear recommendations.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (or eligible for registration).
• Minimum 5 years post‑registration experience in hospital pharmacy, medicine information, clinical guideline development or a related field.
• Strong understanding of clinical pharmacy practice and public‑health immunisation policy.
