Senior Cloud Storage Engineer (French Speaking)

About the role

NetApp is looking for a Senior Professional Services Engineer to join a global 24x7 Storage Operations team supporting Platform and Managed Services customers. The role provides Level 3 support, covering incident response, service requests, problem management, infrastructure improvements and ONTAP upgrades. The position is based in Cork.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support for storage operations, including incident response, service requests, problem management and infrastructure improvements.
• Perform ONTAP upgrades and act as the lead resource for delivery teams, tracking project status and serving as an escalation point.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and deliver customer training through ad hoc knowledge transfer or structured demonstrations.
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve troubleshooting, documentation, operational efficiency and customer support outcomes.

Required profile

• Fluency in French and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a master's degree, or a PhD with relevant professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (change, incident, problem and configuration management).
• Understanding of outsourcing/managed services and the cloud industry.

Required skills

• Deploying and administering NetApp storage (CDOT and 7-Mode), troubleshooting performance issues, firmware/OS upgrades, Cluster Switches, SAN fabric switches and management tools such as OnCommand Unified Manager, Performance Manager and ActiveIQ.
• Storage protocols (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel) and NetApp concepts such as SnapMirror, IntelliSnap, SnapVault, deduplication, cloning, replication, security hardening and performance tuning.
• Preferred: Trident, Trident Protect, OpenShift, OpenStack, Windows Server, Linux system administration, Flex Pod, Cisco UCS, IBM Blade Center, VMware vSphere, Commvault, S3 API.
• Nice to have: GCP, Azure or AWS, and cloud certifications (Hybrid Cloud Administrator, Implementation Engineer, Associate- or Professional-level).
