Senior eDiscovery Technology Specialist
A&L Goodbody LLP · North Wall
Job description
About the role
A&L Goodbody (ALG) is hiring a Senior eDiscovery Technology Specialist for its eDiscovery and Investigations support team within ALG Solutions. The role reports to the eDiscovery Technology Manager and acts as a technical point of contact for troubleshooting and workflow optimisation, covering the full eDiscovery EDRM lifecycle with complex data processing and review tasks using advanced Relativity features. It is predominantly business-facing, though some client-facing activity is possible.
Key responsibilities
- Provide senior support on eDiscovery projects from scoping to closure, using ALGS workflows and tools for data collection, data management, processing, document review and production deliveries.
- Lead complex eDiscovery and data-related workstreams so that outputs are client-ready and technically sound.
- Engage directly with clients to understand needs, refine requirements and propose technical and workflow solutions.
- Manage changing priorities, with effective tracking, documentation and communication across stakeholders.
- Guide and support junior colleagues on tools, workflows and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, triage and perform root-cause analysis across RelativityOne and related systems.
- Analyse usage patterns, data behaviours and review strategies to drive continuous improvement.
- Review and approve user acceptance/test plans, data migration plans and workflow designs from junior staff.
- Present solution features and analysis to project teams and clients, and identify workflow efficiencies to improve ALGS standards and processes.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with previous experience in an eDiscovery environment at a law firm, service provider or in-house.
- Demonstrated expertise in triaging complex defects and preventing issues, and proven ability to build strong client relationships.
- Interest in Generative AI and legal technology, and ability to mentor junior colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and workstreams independently, with flexibility to work beyond office hours occasionally.
Required skills
- Significant eDiscovery experience with advanced Relativity/Nuix capabilities; RCA or equivalent certification is a strong advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting structured insights.
- Experience supporting requirement-gathering workshops and reviewing technical documentation.
- Strong analytical skills, using quantitative data to guide decisions.
