Senior Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead all engineering and maintenance activities at a high‑volume food processing site. The role ensures equipment reliability, site infrastructure performance, and full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering and maintenance operations across the site.
• Manage preventative maintenance and calibration schedules.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and H&S regulations.
• Coordinate repairs and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
• Monitor engineering KPIs and report performance to senior leadership.
• Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency projects.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or a similarly regulated environment.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience within engineering/maintenance.
• Strong understanding of maintenance and quality systems.
• Experience with root‑cause analysis, deviations, training, and documentation practices.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workloads effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
