Senior Financial Accountant – Contract (Dublin)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Global Supply Chain & Cost Accounting team on a 12‑month contract in Dublin. The role will support financial reporting, month‑end close and business partnering across the US, Ireland and India, within a leading global pharmaceutical company.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑ and quarter‑end close activities and prepare financial and management reporting packs for senior stakeholders.
• Prepare and review global inventory accounting and reconciliations in SAP.
• Support annual budgeting and standard cost setting in collaboration with the FP&A team.
• Analyse production order and purchase price variances, providing clear financial commentary.
• Manage SOX controls across multiple jurisdictions and drive automation and simplification initiatives.
• Partner with FP&A and cross‑functional teams to improve processes and reporting accuracy.
• Supervise and review the work of a third‑party shared business service provider.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 4‑5+ years post‑qualification experience in a multinational or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong experience in financial reporting and month‑end close.
• Ability to work independently, communicate confidently and manage stakeholders at all levels.
