Senior Financial Services Tax Advisor

About the role

Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior professional to join its growing Financial Services Tax team in Ireland. You will work with a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients, delivering high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services across the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for financial services clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review income and corporation tax returns in line with Irish tax legislation and company law.
• Research technical tax matters, identify planning opportunities, and develop practical solutions.
• Build strong client relationships by responding to day‑to‑day queries and providing high‑quality service.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the team, sharing knowledge and contributing to successful client engagements.

Required profile

• AITI or CTA qualification with at least 1 year of post‑qualification experience in a tax practice.
• Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation and experience in tax compliance; financial services tax experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build client and team relationships.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused attitude and commitment to continuous learning.
