Senior Fire Investigator (Ireland)

About the role

Jensen Hughes is seeking a Senior Fire Investigator to join its forensic investigation team in Ireland. You will work on complex fire, explosion and accident cases, delivering high‑quality technical reports and expert testimony for clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Attend incident scenes, document and collect evidence, and interview witnesses.
• Lead investigations into the origin, cause and development of complex fire and explosion events.
• Liaise with experts representing other interested parties.
• Produce detailed, accurate technical reports that meet stringent quality standards.
• Provide expert‑witness evidence in court or arbitration proceedings when required.
• Use Jensen Hughes’ case management system to record all case‑related activity in line with SLA requirements.
• Participate in joint examinations and coordinate specialist input as needed.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in fire, explosion or forensic investigations.
• Proven ability to manage complex investigations from scene to final report.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication for producing technical reports.
• Willingness to act as an expert witness and testify in legal settings.
