Senior Indirect Tax (VAT) Manager – Big 4 (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Indirect Tax (VAT) practice across Ireland. You will work with a high‑performing team delivering commercial VAT advice to a portfolio of large domestic and multinational clients while enjoying a flexible hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex Irish and international indirect tax engagements.
• Advise clients on VAT planning, structuring and transaction‑related matters.
• Provide technical VAT advice on acquisitions, disposals and business reorganisations.
• Oversee VAT compliance and risk‑management projects.
• Draft high‑level technical opinions and tax memoranda.
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted commercial adviser.
• Coach, mentor and develop high‑performing tax teams.
• Identify business development opportunities and contribute to practice growth.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience specialising in VAT/Indirect Tax.
• Professional tax qualification (CTA or equivalent preferred).
• Background in practice, industry or Revenue.
• Strong technical VAT knowledge and commercial awareness.
• Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering complex advisory work.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Passion for mentoring and developing teams.
