Senior Internal Communications Director

About the role

The Senior Internal Communications Director will shape how Glanbia connects with its global workforce. You will co‑create and deliver an engaging, results‑driven internal communications strategy that supports business performance, accelerates transformation and reinforces Glanbia’s reputation as an employer of choice.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business strategy into clear, compelling employee communications that drive understanding, engagement and action.
• Develop and lead an enterprise‑wide internal communications strategy aligned with business priorities, employee experience goals and transformation agendas.
• Establish governance and coordination across HR, business units and functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and prioritisation.
• Design and maintain integrated communication calendars, channel frameworks and toolkits to reduce duplication and optimise impact.
• Own the enterprise internal channel ecosystem (OurGlanbia, Viva Engage, town halls, video, digital signage) ensuring accessibility and effectiveness for global employees.
• Enable scalable storytelling through consistent frameworks, templates and approaches.
• Lead communications for major initiatives including culture, transformation, change adoption, DE&I, performance cycles and engagement programmes.
• Measure and evaluate communications effectiveness and continuously improve the function.

• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into communication.
• Executive presence and credibility to partner with senior leaders across a complex, global organisation.

• Proven ability to build and lead a high‑performing internal communications function at scale.
• Excellent storytelling and change‑management capabilities.
