Senior Lean Manufacturing Consultant – Operational Excellence

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Lean Manufacturing Consultant to join a specialist consulting organisation delivering transformation programmes in highly regulated manufacturing environments. Based in Galway, you will work directly with operational leadership and frontline teams to drive measurable improvement across complex production sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Kaizen events and structured improvement workshops with manufacturing personnel.
• Implement tiered management and visual performance systems to enhance OEE and operational flow.
• Drive changeover reduction initiatives (SMED) and support laboratory Lean deployment.
• Coach leaders, build capability, and embed sustainable Continuous Improvement culture.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to maintain momentum and achieve tangible results.

Required profile

• Strong background in Lean, Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement within pharmaceutical, medical device, life‑science or other regulated manufacturing sectors.
• Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (Black Belt advantageous).
• Proven track record of delivering measurable operational improvements.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
