About the role

The Senior Manager – VAT Advisory (Indirect Tax) will deliver end‑to‑end VAT consulting services to a diverse client base, covering structuring, compliance, audit support, and reporting. The role sits within a leading professional services firm in Ireland and offers a dynamic environment focused on continuous learning and career progression in indirect tax.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage high‑value client assignments, providing expert VAT technical guidance.
• Advise on VAT structuring, compliance management, tax audit support and dispute resolution.
• Drive the adoption of VAT automation tools and indirect tax technologies.
• Mentor and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering knowledge sharing.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with client stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in VAT consulting, indirect tax advisory or VAT compliance.
• Recognised professional qualification (AITI/CTA or equivalent) with a solid academic record.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret VAT regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and proven leadership capability.
• Proactive attitude towards new technologies and continuous improvement.
