Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

PSC Biotech is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead savings and process‑improvement projects within its Value Capture Program. The role focuses on delivering quality, cost‑reduction and capacity enhancements across the orthopaedic product range, working on‑site at top pharmaceutical client facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the end‑to‑end engineering function on quality, savings, capacity and validation projects.
• Scope, design, implement and execute multiple improvement initiatives targeting scrap, consumables usage and direct labour waste.
• Identify and quantify savings linked to labour inefficiencies, scrap reduction and consumable spend.
• Ensure new or modified manufacturing processes meet operational, quality, EHS, validation, finance, automation and maintenance requirements.
• Prepare project documentation, status reports and present updates to senior management weekly.
• Conduct Installation, Operating and Performance Qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) for new assets and equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within the biotech or pharmaceutical sector.
• Strong background in leading Lean‑based, cost‑saving and validation projects.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with quality, operations, finance and senior leadership.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting project status and funding needs.
