Senior Power BI Developer – Financial Leasing & Aviation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data BI Developer to join our Information Services team supporting a leading financial leasing business. Working closely with aviation specialists, you will design and deliver a core suite of Power BI reports. The position follows a hybrid model, combining on‑site collaboration with remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with aviation teams to gather and rationalise internal reporting requirements.
• Design, develop and maintain Power BI reports that meet business needs while adhering to data standards.
• Write and maintain complex SQL stored procedures and views.
• Partner with the BI Manager, data engineers, project managers and reporting team on larger initiatives.
• Liaise with third‑party suppliers and the global development team.
• Provide leadership on data visualisation and insight delivery.
• Offer day‑to‑day support for existing BI reports and attend daily reporting stand‑ups.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Computer Science, Programming or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on SQL experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Power BI and DAX.
• Proven experience working in a DevOps environment and a “build for support” mindset.
• Strong knowledge of data‑modelling principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multicultural, geographically dispersed setting.
