Senior Project Manager – Construction (Schools & Residential)

About the role

Our client, a leading building main contractor operating across Ireland and the UK with an annual turnover of €220 million, is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Contracts Manager. The role will lead school and residential projects from commencement to completion, primarily based in Cork.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the project team to drive high performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with PSCS requirements and maintain the highest Health & Safety standards on site.
• Interpret and manage contract documents, including drawings, specifications and BOQ.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Track progress, manage schedules and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Monitor subcontractor performance in health & safety, quality, cost and programme.
• Liaise with the Quantity Surveyor to control costs and achieve financial targets.
• Champion ISO standards and ensure site activities align with company procedures.
• Prepare regular reports for the Construction Director and identify process improvements.
• Manage design team inputs, procurement information and site team coordination.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in construction project or contracts management.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on school or residential developments.
• Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and PSCS compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with clients, consultants and regulatory bodies.
