Senior Scientific Engagement & Program Manager

About the role

The Senior Scientific Engagement & Program Manager will plan, coordinate and execute high‑quality medical and scientific engagement activities across multiple therapeutic areas within Novartis' International Medical Affairs Center of Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate advisory boards, congress symposia, external expert engagements, standalone meetings and medical education programmes, ensuring delivery aligned with engagement objectives.
• Translate engagement strategies into detailed operational plans, timelines and deliverables, managing day‑to‑day project planning, logistics, materials and readiness.
• Partner with International Medical Affairs, cross‑functional stakeholders and external vendors to align expectations, manage budgets and ensure compliant, audit‑ready execution.
• Apply standardized processes, templates and governance frameworks, track progress, report metrics and drive continuous improvement of tools and workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering scientific engagement activities and managing projects in pharma, healthcare or life sciences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
• Strong understanding of compliance, SOPs and approval processes for medical activities.
• Fluent oral and written English; additional languages are a plus.
