Senior Site Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Site Manager to lead a high‑profile development for a leading main contractor in Ireland. The project combines the renovation and extension of a protected heritage structure into modern apartments with the construction of a new apartment block on the same site. The role demands strong site leadership, meticulous coordination and a focus on safety, quality and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for day‑to‑day site management across refurbishment and new‑build elements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and suppliers to maintain efficient workflow.
• Ensure strict adherence to project timelines, milestones and budget.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Oversee quality control and guarantee works meet specifications.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, design teams and stakeholders.
• Manage site documentation, reporting and progress tracking.
• Resolve technical and operational issues promptly.
• Protect and preserve the heritage structure throughout construction.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or senior site‑manager on large‑scale residential or mixed‑use projects.
• Strong background in both refurbishment of protected/heritage buildings and new‑build construction.
• Relevant construction qualification (Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or similar).
• SMSTS, Safe Pass and First Aid certification (or Irish equivalents).
• Excellent knowledge of Irish building regulations and health & safety standards.
