Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading financial services firm, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive complex technical initiatives and shape the architecture of scalable, secure, and high‑performance software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of end‑to‑end software solutions across backend, frontend, and cloud environments.
• Improve architecture for scalability, resilience, maintainability and platform performance.
• Investigate critical incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve challenging technical issues.
• Mentor engineers on coding standards, problem‑solving and professional growth.
• Participate in technical design reviews and guide long‑term engineering decisions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, tools and frameworks to boost delivery efficiency.
• Partner with product, design, QA and operations to ensure successful feature delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience, including senior or lead roles.
• Strong backend expertise with Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Proven experience building APIs, data models and distributed systems.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience deploying cloud‑native or serverless applications on AWS.
• Track record of delivering CI/CD pipelines and supporting modern cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to design secure, maintainable, high‑performing architectures.
