Senior Software Engineer

About the role

EZO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the design, development and operation of its EV charging platforms. You will shape technical direction, lead complex projects and deliver end‑to‑end solutions that drive measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of software projects from inception through deployment and ongoing support.
• Make architectural and technology decisions for cloud‑based platforms, ensuring scalability, security and reliability.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Define and implement API‑driven integrations with internal systems and third‑party services.
• Drive platform optimisation, automation, vendor management and resolution of complex operational issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering or backend development experience.
• Proven experience leading software projects from concept to production delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, working with both technical and non‑technical teams.
• Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership within a development team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python or Java (or similar modern language).
• Experience building and maintaining API‑driven systems, microservices and integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases and data processing workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices.
