Senior Software Engineer - Technical Ownership, Remote First, Greenfield Development

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join an innovative Irish organisation focused on AI technologies. This remote‑first position offers the chance to design and build modern SaaS products, primarily on the backend, within a cloud‑native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for SaaS applications.
• Participate across the full software development lifecycle in a hands‑on, cloud‑native setting.
• Shape and deliver projects that incorporate machine‑learning capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical direction and ownership.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong open‑source background with expertise in Java, Python or Node.js.
• Proficiency in AWS and cloud‑based development.
• Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of web security principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Currently residing in Ireland with an EU passport or Stamp 4 visa.
