Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

Elusav Recruitment is seeking a Senior CSA Design Engineer to join a leading European engineering contractor in Dublin. The role sits within the senior design team and supports major industrial and data‑centre projects across mainland Europe, working closely with the Design Manager to own key design packages and ensure integrated, construction‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive scope‑of‑works, task information deliverables, and responsibility matrices for civil, structural and architectural (CSA) disciplines.
• Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders to deliver design packages on schedule.
• Identify and raise design‑related risks, maintain accurate design activity records and support mitigation actions.
• Assist central engineering and site teams with construction matters and attend design meetings to provide optimisation input.
• Prepare tender and pre‑construction services agreement deliverables and oversee construction to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Develop design delivery schedules in collaboration with clients, project managers and consultants.
• Manage approvals processes, ensure proper information flow (e.g., RFIs, BIM360) and conduct site visits to report progress and quality.
• Review design proposals for constructability, propose value‑engineering and off‑site manufacturing solutions, and ensure adherence to client‑specific design standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior civil/structural design roles on industrial or data‑centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of CSA technical compliance and country‑specific design standards.
• Ability to lead multi‑disciplinary design teams and manage complex design packages.
• Experience in risk identification, mitigation and documentation throughout the design phase.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and information control standards such as BIM360.
• Willingness to support construction teams, conduct site visits and contribute to continuous improvement.
