Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join our collaborative finance team in Kildare. This role offers a broad exposure to both direct and indirect taxes, balancing compliance, reporting and advisory responsibilities in a commercially focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare corporation tax computations, returns and supporting documentation to meet statutory deadlines.
• Calculate current and deferred tax provisions, prepare tax disclosures for statutory accounts and support year‑end audit processes.
• Maintain tax accounting records, post tax‑related journals and work with external advisers to ensure timely corporate tax compliance.
• Prepare and submit indirect tax returns, including VAT, and support related statutory filings.
• Provide tax forecasts and analysis for the annual budgeting process.
• Offer practical tax advice on acquisitions, restructures, financing arrangements and commercial transactions.
• Maintain tax policies, procedures and risk‑management frameworks, and deliver guidance or training to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• CTA qualification with 2–3 years post‑qualified experience in a tax‑focused role.
• Degree in Accountancy, Business or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation covering both direct and indirect taxes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across finance and wider business functions.

Required skills

• Experience preparing corporation tax returns and statutory tax reporting.
• Experience preparing and filing VAT and other indirect tax returns.
• Ability to calculate tax provisions, prepare tax disclosures and support audit processes.
• Proficiency in using tax reporting tools and systems to drive efficiency.
