Senior Tax Manager

About the role

Unity is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead its EMEA tax team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Tax, you will oversee direct and indirect tax operations across the region, driving compliance, controversy management, financial reporting, and process automation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and review indirect and direct tax compliance, including VAT, CIT and other EMEA reporting.
• Prepare and review US GAAP tax provision calculations, ASC 450, FIN 48, and support local accounting close.
• Drive process innovation and insourcing initiatives to improve tax compliance efficiency.
• Collaborate with the global tax team on projects such as Pillar Two, R&D incentives, e‑invoicing, and legal entity rationalisation.
• Provide strategic support for EMEA tax audits, dispute resolution and other controversy matters.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Tax and relevant professional qualification (CA, CFA, Tax Advisor, etc.).
• 7+ years of indirect and direct tax experience in a Big 4 or multinational environment, including 2 years of people‑management experience.
• Broad knowledge of EMEA VAT and CIT rules, US GAAP tax accounting, and experience with tax controversy and audit defence.
• Proven ability to lead process‑improvement initiatives and manage multiple projects across jurisdictions.
