Senior Trainer & Customs Compliance Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a senior trainer and consultant to provide expert advice on outsourced customs operations and to drive strategic business growth. You will work directly with clients in Ireland, delivering tailored training and solutions that simplify complex trade compliance challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Consult on end‑to‑end customs operations, ensuring accurate tariff classification, valuation and handling of IPR, OPR, customs warehousing and CBAM procedures.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities through lead generation, networking and targeted outreach.
• Lead discovery sessions with clients and design customised training programs.
• Manage RFQs and tender processes while supporting marketing initiatives to position the firm as a market leader.
• Balance technical execution with proactive business expansion.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in customs or trade compliance, including client‑success roles.
• Degree in Business, Trade or a related discipline.
• Based in Ireland with a clean driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Strong communicator able to translate technical customs language into commercial value.
• Proactive learner who stays current with global trade regulations.
