Senior Vice President, Finance Transformation

About the role

ICON plc is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead its Finance Transformation function. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the executive team, you will drive a multi‑year, enterprise‑wide programme that modernises finance, improves data confidence and creates long‑term shareholder value.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a multi‑year finance transformation strategy across the global finance organisation.
• Lead enterprise‑wide initiatives covering ERP optimisation, automation, AI adoption and digital enablement.
• Standardise and simplify finance processes, enhance data quality, governance, controls and reporting.
• Build business cases for change and secure board‑level approval.
• Create scalable operating models that support future growth.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high‑performing finance transformation team.
• Partner with finance and business leaders worldwide to deliver sustainable value.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading large‑scale finance transformation programmes in a complex, global organisation.
• Extensive experience delivering ERP, process optimisation and operating‑model change.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence Board, Executive Committee and investors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change across multinational environments.
• Passion for leveraging technology, AI and automation to improve finance performance.
