Senior Wafer Fab Automation Engineer (Robotics & OHT)

About the role

Analog Devices is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead wafer fab automation initiatives. The role bridges wafer‑fab operations, equipment engineering, and the Automation & Robotics development teams to define next‑generation automation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between wafer‑fab operations and the Robotics Development Team.
• Provide engineering oversight for tool‑tending robotic systems (cobots, mobile robots, manipulators) including integration, programming, testing, deployment and optimisation.
• Troubleshoot robot behaviour, uptime issues and interoperability with fab equipment.
• Own and support the Overhead Transport (OHT) system and related AMHS infrastructure, monitoring performance and material flow.
• Manage escalations, root‑cause investigations and corrective actions for AMHS events.
• Collaborate with vendors and integrators on upgrades, maintenance planning and system enhancements.
• Work with manufacturing, equipment engineering and IT/automation teams to translate fab workflow requirements into automation specifications.
• Develop system requirements, test plans, bills of materials and technical documentation; use CAD tools to review mechanical interfaces.

Required profile

• Proven experience in semiconductor wafer‑fab automation, robotics, and AMHS/OHT systems.
• Strong background in integrating and optimising tool‑tending robots and overhead transport solutions.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional collaboration with manufacturing, equipment, and IT teams.
