Shift Lead – Retail Store (Clonmel)

About the role

The Shift Lead is responsible for leading the fill operation on the sales floor, ensuring the store is ready to trade and delivering a smooth payment experience. This role coordinates resources, coaches colleagues and steps in for the Colleague Manager when required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation, coordinating resources to serve, sell and fill.
• Coach colleagues on the “One Best Way” methodology and drive productivity.
• Allocate staff to ensure a quick and efficient payment experience.
• Implement daily operational processes across the store at the correct times.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well‑presented store environment.
• Model excellent customer service and M&S behaviours.
• Support Colleague Managers with performance observations and recognise high performers.
• Provide assistance to nearby stores when operationally required.
• Act as key holder, handling opening and closing duties, vehicle receipt, temperature controls, cash handling and TSL compliance.

• Strong leadership and coordination abilities.
• Ability to coach and develop team members.
• Commitment to health, safety and store presentation standards.
• Willingness to act as a key holder and respond to call‑outs.
• Flexibility to support neighbouring stores when needed.
