About the role
The Shipping/Materials Handling Operator is responsible for preparing paperwork and packaging material for shipment, as well as verifying received items. This role ensures smooth flow of goods through accurate inventory control and timely transfer transactions while meeting ongoing shipment targets.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and process shipping paperwork and package materials for dispatch.
- Check and verify incoming material against documentation.
- Perform inventory control activities and manage transfer transactions as needed.
- Plan ahead to meet shipment goals and maintain schedule adherence.
- Exercise independent judgment to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and verification skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
- Organizational skills to plan and meet shipment targets.
