Site Foreman – Residential Development

About the role

A leading residential developer is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join a permanent team working on a large‑scale 500+ unit residential project in Douglas, Cork. This role offers a strong on‑site presence and the chance to develop a career within a growing company.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring safety, timeliness, and quality standards.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and operatives, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Track progress against the project programme and report to the Site Manager/Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, material usage, and workforce attendance.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and keep workflow smooth.
• Identify potential risks or delays and implement corrective actions proactively.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years experience as a Foreman on large‑scale residential projects (preferably 200+ units).
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and building regulations.
• Proven ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently on‑site while coordinating with project management.
• Relevant construction qualifications or certifications are desirable.
