Site Manager – Food Production Plant

About the role

The Site Manager will lead the Lough Egish plant, ensuring the highest levels of customer service while meeting compliance, safety, quality and budgetary responsibilities. Reporting to the Head of Operations – Consumer, the role focuses on continuous improvement and strong people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the site management team to achieve performance targets across environmental, health & safety, quality, customer service, throughput, financial and people KPIs.
• Oversee plant operations, providing leadership to managers and staff and fostering employee engagement.
• Ensure proactive compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Embed Lean manufacturing principles sustainably across the site.
• Develop and maintain a rolling strategy for site performance, people and assets.
• Collaborate with central functions such as Commercial, Planning, Finance, R&D, Quality and Governance.
• Develop and manage annual budget plans and ensure compliance with site budgets.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Engineering, Science or Food Science.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in food, pharmaceutical or beverage manufacturing.
• Results‑driven and customer‑focused with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement in a Lean environment.
• Knowledge of the Shingo Model is an advantage.
