Site Manager – Substation Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a new GIS substation building and associated civil works in Ringsend, Dublin. The role is site‑based, focusing on safe, on‑time, and quality delivery of a key energy infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage day‑to‑day site operations for the GIS substation and related building works.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors covering reinforced concrete, structural steel, cladding, blockwork, finishes, drainage, paving, and external works.
• Report to the Contracts Manager and Project Manager, ensuring programme milestones are met.
• Oversee health & safety compliance, review RAMS, method statements, and safe systems of work.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and progress reporting.
• Manage subcontractor performance, sequencing, and resolve site issues or technical queries.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship across all building elements.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years’ experience as a Site Manager in construction, or 2–3+ years as a Site Engineer on similar projects.
• Strong background in reinforced concrete and structural steel construction.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects; utilities experience is a plus.
• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
• Full driving licence and right to work in Ireland.
