Software Developer – Remote (UK/Netherlands/Ireland)

About the role

DP World is seeking a talented Software Developer to join its technology team on a remote basis across the UK, the Netherlands or Ireland. You will work on business‑critical global applications, participating in the full software development lifecycle and delivering innovative solutions that impact international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and deliver high‑quality software solutions.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle on global applications.
• Support and enhance existing systems to agreed service levels.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex business challenges.
• Contribute innovative ideas and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support the deployment of major projects and system enhancements.
• Ensure development standards and best practices are consistently followed.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified in IT, Computer Science or equivalent commercial experience.
• Proven experience delivering software development projects in a commercial environment.
• Preferably expertise using PROGRESS.
• Knowledge of relational databases and database querying.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and command‑line tools.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Understanding of enterprise‑scale applications and global business operations.
• Commitment to coding standards, quality and continuous learning.
