About the role

Join the AWS Lambda team in Dublin to help shape the future of serverless computing. As a Software Development Engineer you will work on a large distributed computing platform, delivering highly available, secure and scalable services that power developers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and own components of the Lambda service, including runtime management, extensions and container support.
• Build event‑driven, distributed systems that meet strict reliability and performance standards.
• Collaborate with product and architecture teams to define system roadmaps and technical direction.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, troubleshooting production incidents and driving root‑cause analysis.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing frameworks and continuous‑delivery pipelines.
